With both banners being highly attractive, many players are struggling to decide whether to pull Yoyo or Ellen first—and whether to prioritize W-Engrams and Signature Weapons afterward.
Today, we’ll break down the pull priorities based on different account scenarios:
Scenario 1: No built Abnormal C, lack of main DPS units
Recommendation: Pull Ellen (0+1) first
Yoyo is a specialist support built around the Abnormal (Disorder) team. For players who haven’t invested in Abnormal carries, Yoyo's importance is relatively low.
If you’re lacking strong DPS characters, then Ellen’s priority is much higher. We recommend pulling Ellen with a 0+1 setup (base character + signature weapon) to complete your main DPS roster before thinking about team optimization.
Also, Ellen is not dependent on Yoyo. Besides working in Disorder teams, she can also be run in a Break-focused team using standard characters like Lycaon and Anton, which can still achieve solid performance.
Scenario 2: Already have Disorder units like Von Lycaon, Vivian, but no Ellen
Recommendation: Pull Yoyo (0+0) first, then consider Ellen
If your account already has the core components of a Von Lycaon–based Disorder team, Ellen is just an extra DPS, or possibly the start of a new team.
Given that you likely already have enough DPS options (especially if you pulled Zhu Yuan in 2.0), Yoyo becomes the higher priority. Pull her at 0+0 configuration (no signature weapon) to enhance your existing Abnormal team.
Scenario 3: Already have Ellen at 0+1, and Yoyo at 0+0
Recommendation: Pull Yoyo’s signature weapon first, then consider Ellen’s W-Engram 2
Many players are unsure whether to push Ellen to 2+1 (two W-Engrams + weapon). While Ellen’s second W-Engram gives a big boost, in a Disorder comp, her 0+1 setup is already sufficient.
At this point, upgrading your support gives greater value, so prioritize Yoyo’s signature weapon, and only consider Ellen’s W-Engram 2 after Yoyo reaches 0+1.
Scenario 4: Ellen at 1+1
Recommendation: Pull Ellen’s second W-Engram first, then consider Yoyo
If Ellen is currently at a 1+1 setup, then the top priority for Version 2.1 should be getting her to 2+1, since the second W-Engram gives a huge power spike.
It only takes one more gold-pull to hit her “graduation” level. After completing Ellen’s setup, then move on to pulling for Yoyo.
Scenario 5: Fully built Abnormal team, Ellen at 0+0
Recommendation: Pull Ellen’s signature weapon first, then consider Yoyo
Ellen’s signature weapon gives her a massive boost in power. “Hailstorm Star Palace” is currently the only Abnormal Drive Disc that boosts both CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, and outperforms all lower-tier alternatives.
If your Ellen is still at 0+0, it's highly recommended to pull to at least 0+1, since her performance is much weaker without her signature weapon.
Conclusion
Whether or not Yoyo is worth pulling largely depends on whether your account has or plans to build an Abnormal team. If you're already investing in the Disorder archetype, Yoyo becomes almost a must-pull.
On the other hand, if you're a newer player with no Abnormal setup and still lacking main DPS units, then Ellen should be your first priority.
