Fubuki Yoyo is about to be released in Zenless Zone Zero. Since support characters have always been quite rare in the game, many Proxies are eagerly looking forward to her debut. The official stats for her signature weapon, "Tanuki Arts: Seven Transformations", have already been revealed. Is it worth pulling? Today, we’ll break down the weapon’s strength, provide pull recommendations, and suggest alternative W-Engines if you’re not aiming for her signature.
Signature Weapon Analysis
Advanced Stat
Fubuki Yoyo’s signature W-Engine offers Energy Regeneration as its advanced stat—fairly standard for support-type Engines. Since Yoyo needs to equip Anomaly Mastery on Slot 6, Energy Regen helps significantly with her rotation and overall skill loop.
In addition, her ATK buff requires 3000 ATK to fully activate, so the weapon’s high base ATK also greatly reduces the build threshold needed to maximize her performance.
We've done some calculations:
If you're running the standard 4-piece Swing Jazz + 2-piece Flauto, then with her signature W-Engine, you only need 8 ATK substats across the build. That’s roughly 2 ATK substats per Slot 1, 2, 3, and 6—relatively easy to achieve.
However, if you're using the budget A-tier “Unbending Will” (A-Pow) W-Engine, the requirement jumps to 12 ATK substats (3 per slot), which raises the build difficulty. In that case, you'd need to grind harder for ATK stats or consider switching to the 4-piece Ankura set instead.
Weapon Effects
① Boost to Anomaly Mastery
Without her signature weapon, Yoyo can only reach 171 Anomaly Mastery—insufficient to unlock her full extra abilities. Her signature adds +30 Anomaly Mastery, enhancing her Charge Efficiency and enabling her to trigger max-level passive effects.
For Yoyo, that extra +29 Anomaly Mastery translates to +5.8% Anomaly Charge Efficiency and +5.8% Anomaly & Disorder DMG, offering a notable boost to her support capabilities.
② Teamwide Anomaly Proficiency Buff
Yoyo’s “Hard Candy Shot” is a follow-up attack. After this attack, the weapon provides +60 Anomaly Proficiency to the entire team, greatly enhancing overall Anomaly DMG output. Combined with the weapon’s mastery bonuses, her support power reaches top-tier levels—an excellent utility kit.
Should You Pull "Tanuki Arts: Seven Transformations"?
Yoyo’s signature weapon is very strong. It offers high base ATK to lower her build threshold, energy regen for better rotation, and potent support effects that benefit the whole team.
Since her buffs are teamwide, characters like Von Lycaon and Grace, who rely heavily on Disorder/Anomaly damage, can see up to a 15% teamwide increase in output. If you have the budget, this is a great investment.
Pull Weapon or W-Engine First?
Yoyo’s W-Engine Slot 1 (W-Drive 1) provides faster energy gain, +10% Resistance Shred, and increased passive effect values. However, compared to her signature weapon, it's relatively average. If you can only afford two golds, it’s better to go 0 Weapon + 1 W-Drive.
Her W-Drive Slot 2 is top-tier. It grants a powerful additional follow-up attack every 20s, significantly boosting energy and damage for main carries like Grace. It even improves rotation efficiency, making 2+1 (Weapon + W-Drive 2) her optimal build if your budget allows.
Her W-Drive Slot 6 enhances her personal performance but has lower value overall—only recommended for heavy spenders. Most players can safely skip it.
Recommended Pull Order:
Alternative W-Engines if You Don’t Have Her Signature
Unbending Will (A-tier, Permanent Pool)
As expected, Unbending Will (A-Pow) remains the go-to cost-effective choice for most players. It’s one of the most popular and stylish A-tier options, also known as Lucy’s signature W-Engine.
It grants Energy Regen as an advanced stat and teamwide ATK bonuses as its passive. Since Yoyo summons Ah-Fu to assist in combat, she can easily maintain the buff stacks. Strong and efficient.
Weeping Cradle (S-tier, Permanent Pool)
This is Rina’s signature. While its advanced stat of Penetration Rate isn’t very useful for Yoyo, it still offers decent energy regen from off-field and consistent teamwide damage boosts. Its overall strength is comparable to a 5-star refined A-Pow, with slightly weaker energy regen but better team buffs. If you don’t have spare A-Pows, Weeping Cradle is a viable choice.
Conclusion
Fubuki Yoyo’s signature weapon, "Tanuki Arts: Seven Transformations", not only makes it easier to hit build requirements but also delivers powerful teamwide utility effects, making it extremely cost-effective. If you have the budget, a 0+1 configuration (Weapon + W-Drive 1) is highly recommended.
However, even at 0+0, Yoyo is already a strong support. For most Proxies, using Unbending Will or Weeping Cradle as substitutes is more than enough.
0+0 → 0+1 → 2+1 → 6+1
