With the official reveal of the character splash arts for Genshin Impact 5.7’s two new characters, the livestream preview date has also been confirmed—mark your calendars for 8 PM (UTC+8) on June 6!
There’s a lot to look forward to in version 5.7! First off, Skirk is getting her very own exclusive animated short, similar to what we saw previously with Arlecchino. As for the banners, we’re expecting:
First phase: Skirk + The Perfumer + Taliyah
Second phase: Murata (Pyro Archon) + Shenhe
Freebies? Yes, please! The main event will be giving away Sethos for free. There's also a new KFC collaboration with Valesa, three new Abyss paths, Shenhe and Raiden Shogun getting new trail effects, a massive Auto Chess-style strategy event, and even a new artifact preselection feature.
Plus—brace yourself—Dainsleif will finally be joining us in battle. Rumors suggest he wields Hydro with possible Abyssal enhancements. Now that’s something to get hyped for!

Now back to the juicy leaks—
For version 5.8, the banner details are shaping up as follows:
First half: A brand-new 5-star + Maraani
Second half: Nahida + Grandma (Nani?)
Chascara will debut in version 6.0, sharing a banner with Zhongli. Nahida's rerun also signals a fresh cycle of Archon reruns is beginning. The new 5-star Hydro character in 5.8 is rumored to be a tanned, cheerful Sumeru girl with a beach style, likely a normal-attack focused carry. Her first hit supposedly generates 4–5 particles, with a 6s downtime between particle generation. Her burst? Massive multipliers.
Also worth noting—the 3rd mixed-banner has just launched in version 5.6, so the 4th Sumeru Mixed Pool isn’t far off. Leaks suggest it will arrive in 5.8 alongside Nahida’s rerun. Characters in this pool include:
Tighnari, Cyno, Nilou, Wanderer, Alhaitham, and Dehya.
While some may say the character pool is “meh,” the weapons are top-tier, especially Hunter’s Path—a must-pull for many! If you’re skipping regular banners, this is where your primos should go!
Finally, updates on the fan-favorite character Columbia (the young girl angel). She’s said to be a true member of the angelic race, a Pyro catalyst user wielding a harp-shaped weapon. Based on synergy with Skirk, she might become the 5-star Xiangling we've always wanted—high Pyro uptime, extremely desirable in many comps. If so, she could become one of the most future-proof units in the game.
