Version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail is about to begin. In addition to new characters, skins, and story optimizations, HoYoverse has added 8 brand-new Light Cones to the Nameless Honor Monthly Pass. Since you can only exchange one Light Cone every 42 days, these new options are quite precious. So, which ones are worth exchanging for? Let’s take a look!
1. "A Walk Among the Past" – Destruction Path
This Light Cone is especially suitable for characters who rely heavily on Skill and Ultimate damage — such as Jingliu, Blade, and Boothill.
Many new players are preparing to pull for Boothill. If you don’t have his signature Light Cone or Herta’s Store Light Cone, this one is a solid substitute.
2. "Holiday in the Wild" – Nihility Path
This Nihility Light Cone applies Vulnerability to enemies after attacking — offering strong utility. It finally provides an alternative to "Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat."
If you haven't gotten Sparkle’s signature Light Cone yet, this is a great replacement!
Not only does it have a beautiful cover art, but it’s also compatible with many characters. Among the eight new Light Cones, this one offers the highest overall value. Highly recommended for Trailblazers to exchange for it!
3. "May You Have a Peaceful Journey" – Preservation Path
A simple and effective stat-based Light Cone. It increases both shield strength and damage. Featuring the adorable Carole & Misha, it’s a solid 4-star alternative to Aventurine’s signature Light Cone.
It’s also speculated to be usable by SP Dan Heng in future updates. A good option to consider.
4. "While Chasing the Wind" – Harmony Path
This Harmony Light Cone focuses on Break Effect and DMG boost. However, because Harmony characters in break teams are limited, its best value may be seen with Ruan Mei.
Trailblazers should consider carefully before exchanging for this one.
As for the remaining four Light Cones, unless you have a specific need (or are an XP collector), it's better to prioritize the above options first.
Summary
The stat strength and versatility of these new Monthly Pass Light Cones are significantly better than the old ones. Trailblazers can gradually replace their older Light Cones.
The new Light Cones are especially helpful for new players, while veteran players may find more collection value in them.
Since you can only exchange once a month, be sure to choose based on your team’s needs!
