The character lineup for version 3.6 has finally been confirmed. The new additions are Moonlit Watcher (SP March 7th) and Teng Huang, both members of the Express crew. Detailed skill information is expected to be revealed on August 13, so it’s definitely something to look forward to.
Based on current info, our little March 7th can function as both a main DPS and a support. In deep testing, her team members include Butterfly, so her role seems quite solid. As for Dan Heng, it’s highly likely he will be a free giveaway. Players who already pulled for Aventurine can breathe easy — getting a new character without spending Stellar Jades is always welcome!
Aside from new characters, version 3.6 will also introduce a new Abyss mode. However, unlike previous versions, this one won’t reward Stellar Jades. Instead, it will offer even rarer and more valuable items. If leaks from the test server are accurate, a new relic-type item will be added, helping players obtain perfect relics faster. That said, since the final stage requires three full teams, the difficulty has been ramped up — make sure you’re prepared in advance.
Now, let’s take a look at some early info about version 4.0.
Following the pattern of major version updates, Trailblazers will gain access to a new Path. Considering that the story will be returning to Firefly’s hometown, Edo Star, it’s almost certain that the new Path will be Erudition (The Joyful Path).
In this version, some characters will receive SP storylines, including Firefly and Blade. Firefly’s new form has already been teased officially — it’s most likely the long-haired version shown in previous PVs, and her new Path will be Erudition.
According to a trusted anonymous source, aside from Firefly, Blade will also receive an SP form, which will shift from his original Japanese samurai design to a Chinese-inspired aesthetic.
Firefly's SP form has been foreshadowed for quite a while, but Blade’s new look is fresh news — something no one really saw coming. Why the devs chose Blade instead of Kafka or Silver Wolf remains to be seen and might tie into upcoming story developments.
With this direction, it's expected that many major characters will get SP versions in future patches. Speaking of which — what about Sam? Wasn’t he off searching for his mask? And since the story returns to Edo Star, perhaps we’ll get to see Uncle Han Legs appear again too?
