Where Winds Meet 1.4 Events Guide: All Rewards & Echo Jade

Season 1.4 Home Afar launched March 6, 2026 and runs through early April. It brings the Hexi region, five major events, two new world bosses, and 500–800+ Echo Jade in time-limited rewards. Miss these events and that currency is gone permanently — community data confirms skipping the full 1.4 slate costs you 500–1,500 Echo Jade that never comes back. Start with codes, then Dawn to Dusk, then Lumina Guide. In that order.

Season 1.4 at a Glance

Most new content is gated behind Level 14 + the By Lamplight quest. Without that, you can't access the Flute of Tides Mystic Skill or the Whitecrown Fortress Campaign.

The Withered Twig is the easiest to accidentally skip — it requires defeating the Wandering Ark world boss for the first time. Players who ignore world bosses and grind events instead will lose this permanently.

Campaign and Quest Rewards

Iron Domination accessory drops from Guo Xin in Whitecrown Fortress Campaign. The Campaign Heroes Compendium is permanent, but complete Whitecrown Fortress early — it also rewards 50 Echo Jade + Hexi Exploration x100, which unlocks additional regional chests.

Burlap Sack armor and White Silk inscription come from the Mysterious Scroll quest on the Karaz Sand Boat. Story-tied, so finish that chain before the patch closes.

Codes alone give you 230 Echo Jade. Zero effort, five minutes. Redeem all four the moment you log in on March 6.

How to Redeem Codes

Main Menu → Settings cog → Other tab → Enter code → Confirm → Collect from Mailbox. Codes are case-sensitive — copy them exactly.

The Jade Fish Mechanic

Community testing shows Jade Fish activities deliver the highest Echo Jade yield per time invested among all repeatable sources after codes are exhausted. There's a 20,000 weekly Jade Fish cap, so hit it early each week rather than leaving it for the weekend. Traces of Spring is your primary Jade Fish source.

Aggregate Totals

Zero-grind minimum: 230 (codes) + 50 (Whitecrown) + 20 (Wandering Ark) = 300 EJ. Full event completion pushes the community estimate to 500–800+ Echo Jade for the patch. That's meaningful progress toward Solemn Echo banner pulls at 160 EJ each.

For players looking to supplement or stretch their Echo Jade further, Where Winds Meet Echo Jade cheap top up April 2026 is worth checking before the patch window closes — rates fluctuate and early-patch timing often has better value.

Echo Jade Spending Priority

Before any banner pulls, reserve 5,000 EJ for Morale Chant skill books (10 books total). Each book stacks 1% Physical DMG/healing up to 5 stacks at 80% proc rate — more reliable power gain than gacha variance for most builds.

  1. Morale Chant skill books — 5,000 EJ reserved

  2. Event-exclusive cosmetics from Lumina Guide and Traces of Spring shops

  3. Inner Way Note Chests for gear enhancement

  4. Banner pulls — Solemn Echo at 160 EJ/pull, hard pity at 150 pulls (24,000 EJ); Celestial at 200 EJ/pull, pity at 30,000 EJ

Pity carries over between patches, so unspent pull progress isn't lost.

Optimal Completion Order — Week by Week

Why Sequencing Matters

The March 13–27 window is the most congested period in 1.4. Lumina Guide, Chorus of Life, Mid-Season Sprint, and Traces of Spring all overlap. Without deliberate sequencing, you'll hit March 27 having barely touched Chorus of Life.

Casual Player Roadmap (1–2 Hours/Day)

Week 1 (Mar 6–12):

  1. Redeem all four codes immediately (5 min, 230 EJ)

  2. Complete By Lamplight if Lv. 14+ to unlock Hexi

  3. Start Dawn to Dusk Day 1 — don't miss early days

  4. Defeat Wandering Ark for first-clear rewards (Withered Twig + 20 EJ)

  5. Complete Whitecrown Fortress Campaign (50 EJ + Iron Domination)

Week 2 (Mar 13–19):

  1. Start Lumina Guide immediately (closes Apr 1, don't treat as finish later)

  2. Chorus of Life is your time-pressure event — closes Mar 27, run it daily

  3. Mid-Season Sprint runs Mar 13–19 only — complete weekly quests first

  4. Desert Clash offers higher rewards per effort than Heroic Gauntlet; Heroic Gauntlet is faster if time is short

Week 3 (Mar 19–27):

  1. Traces of Spring opens Mar 19 — hit the 20,000 weekly Jade Fish cap immediately

  2. Continue Chorus of Life daily (closes Mar 27 — final push)

  3. Yama's Seal Supreme and Sword Trial: Abyssal Lament open Mar 20 for combat-focused players

  4. Level cap breakthrough to Lv. 90 available Mar 20

Week 4 (Mar 27 – Apr 6):

  1. Scratch-and-Seek opens Mar 27 — complete before Apr 2

  2. Traces of Spring final push before Apr 2

  3. Lumina Guide closes Apr 1 — don't let this slip

  4. Dawn to Dusk final days before Apr 6

Individual Event Breakdowns

Dawn to Dusk (Mar 6 – Apr 6)

Don't treat this as passive. Day 18 specifically rewards 1 Resonance Voucher, 1 Inner Way Note Chest, and Softweave Dye Powder — the Resonance Voucher alone makes consistent daily check-ins worth it.

Lumina Guide – Jade Gate Pass (Mar 13 – Apr 1)

Rewards: Snack Charm accessory, Resonating Melody, Echo Jade, Inner Way Note Chest, Martial Arts Custom Notes. Closes April 1 — earlier than most players expect. Don't leave this for the final week.

Chorus of Life (Mar 13 – Mar 27)

Four activities: Heroic Gauntlet, Desert Clash, Sand Race, Unfading Memories. Currency is Spring Drum points. The trade-off: Heroic Gauntlet clears faster, Desert Clash delivers higher rewards per effort. For casual players, run Desert Clash. Both solo and online modes count toward your Spring Drum total.

Traces of Spring (Mar 19 – Apr 2)

Rewards: Sad Shroom hair ornament, Salted Fish Rack decoration, Echo Jade, Jade Fish. The Jade Fish component makes this disproportionately valuable. Start the day it opens and hit the weekly cap before reset.

Wandering Ark World Boss

Where Winds Meet Wandering Ark world boss guide screenshot with phase mechanics

Located at Straying Steed Sands. First-clear rewards: Withered Twig hair ornament, 5 Inner Way Note Custom Chests, 3 Medicinal Tales, 20 Echo Jade.

Phase 1: target the leg supports — most players waste time on body hits that deal reduced damage. Phase 2 shifts to a Moonlight Reversal counter mechanic using the Cosmic Reversal Mystic Skill. Unlock Cosmic Reversal before attempting this boss.

Whitecrown Fortress Campaign

Where Winds Meet Whitecrown Fortress Guo Xin boss fight screenshot

Guo Xin has two phases. Phase 1: dodge the spear combo chains — they're telegraphed but punishing if you trade hits. Phase 2 adds Army of the Prime archers and mo blade soldiers; clear archers first since they interrupt your attack windows on Guo Xin.

Rewards: Iron Domination accessory + 50 Echo Jade + Hexi Exploration x100. That exploration bonus unlocks additional regional chests — do this before chest-hunting in Hexi.

New players at Lv. 3 can access Chorus of Life and Traces of Spring immediately after Another New Wing. Hexi is gated harder, but the events themselves don't require Hexi access.

Returning After March 20

You'll miss Chorus of Life entirely — that's a real loss of Spring Drum rewards. But you can still complete all four codes (230 EJ), Traces of Spring in full, Scratch-and-Seek, Lumina Guide, and remaining Dawn to Dusk days. Still worth logging back in.

New Mystic Skills

Cosmic Reversal (reverses time on broken objects) and Moonleap Morph (transforms into fish, rewards Fleeting Scales from Gilt-Fin Collection) are 1.4 additions. Cosmic Reversal is required for the Wandering Ark Phase 2 counter. Unlock these early — they're not optional flavor.

Solemn Echo: 160 EJ/pull, hard pity at 150 pulls (24,000 EJ). Celestial: 200 EJ/pull, pity at 30,000 EJ. Pity carries over to future patches — you don't lose pull progress by saving.

F2P verdict: reserve the 5,000 EJ Morale Chant books first. The 1% Physical DMG/healing per stack at 80% proc rate beats gacha variance for consistent power gain.

F2P priority order:

  1. Redeem all codes (230 EJ, zero time cost)

  2. Whitecrown Fortress Campaign (50 EJ + gear)

  3. Wandering Ark first clear (20 EJ + cosmetic)

  4. Lumina Guide + Traces of Spring event Echo Jade

  5. Reserve 5,000 EJ for Morale Chant books

  6. Remaining EJ on pulls or cosmetics

If you're close to pity on a 1.4 banner character, supplementing makes sense — pity carries over, so you're not starting from zero in 1.5. The Where Winds Meet recharge discount coupon season 1.4 page is worth checking if you're on the fence, since discount availability shifts throughout the patch.

FAQ

What rewards will I permanently miss if I skip 1.4? Confirmed permanent misses: Withered Twig (Wandering Ark first clear), Sad Shroom (Traces of Spring), Snack Charm (Lumina Guide), Salted Fish Rack (Traces of Spring), Desert Cavalry and Snowy River cosmetics (limited shop). Moonlit Umbra weapon may rotate back — lower priority if you're time-constrained.

How much Echo Jade can F2P players earn in 1.4? Confirmed one-time sources: 300 EJ minimum (230 codes + 50 Whitecrown + 20 Wandering Ark). Full event completion pushes the estimate to 500–800+ EJ for the patch.

Can I complete all events solo? Yes. Chorus of Life supports both solo and online modes, both counting toward Spring Drum points. Wandering Ark can be soloed, though Phase 2 is significantly more manageable with allies.

What's the first thing to do on March 6? Codes (5 minutes, 230 EJ). Then Dawn to Dusk Day 1. Then Wandering Ark first clear before the boss gets crowded. If Lv. 14+, unlock Hexi and start Whitecrown Fortress Campaign.

What happens to unspent Jade Fish before the weekly reset? The 20,000 cap is on earning, not a use-it-or-lose-it mechanic. But since Traces of Spring closes April 2, convert any unspent Jade Fish from that event's shop before that date.

Are any rewards locked behind the paid Battle Pass? The Tiger's Bane Battle Pass adds exclusive rewards on top of the free track. Core event rewards — codes, campaign completions, world boss first clears, main event tracks — are all free-to-access.

The Insight Most Guides Miss

The March 13–27 overlap is the hardest part of 1.4 to manage — not the final week. Most players assume the crunch comes when events expire in late March and early April. But the simultaneous launch of Lumina Guide, Chorus of Life, Mid-Season Sprint, and the imminent Traces of Spring opening on March 19 creates a 14-day window where you're juggling four active events with different currencies, different daily tasks, and different closing dates.

Chorus of Life closes March 27 — two weeks before Dawn to Dusk — and it's the shortest major event in the patch. Treat March 13–27 as early patch, plenty of time and you'll hit March 27 with incomplete Chorus of Life progress and no way to recover those Spring Drum points.

The fix: treat Chorus of Life as your highest-urgency event from March 13 onward. Run it daily. Let Lumina Guide and Traces of Spring fill remaining time. Dawn to Dusk is passive enough to handle alongside everything else. That sequencing — Chorus of Life first, Lumina Guide second, Traces of Spring third, Dawn to Dusk as background — is what separates players who complete everything from players who miss 200+ Echo Jade worth of rewards.
