Today I’ve found another batch of hidden gems for everyone! This started when I realized that Identity V has featured many incredibly stunning character designs in their promotional PVs, but none of them actually made it into the game. So I picked out a few for us to enjoy together!
I. Identity V × Lawson Collaboration
① Bloody Queen
This is my personal favorite. The red jacket paired with a black tube top—absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, at the time, Bloody Queen had just released her Illusion skin, so a new one wasn’t in the pipeline. This design ended up being used only in merch.
② Annie
Primarily blue-toned, with a trendy blue plaid shirt tied around her waist. Her face model looked super cute too~
Back then, everyone was really looking forward to this skin, but what we got instead was just a blue-tier recolor. As everyone knows, blue skins are just palette swaps and don’t include much design effort. In the end, it was simplified to this…
Tell me, Identity V—how is this even the same?
③ Postman
This one was seriously adorable—he’s holding oden skewers, and the warm yellow outfit gave off such a sunny, cheerful vibe. I think if they had released this, it would’ve been a hit.
Sadly, NetEase also turned this one into a blue-tier skin. While still kinda cute, it looks way different from the PV version...
II. “Shan Hai Legends” Series
① Soul Weaver
So cool, so handsome! I feel like this design would sell like crazy if it were actually released. Unfortunately, it was just a figurine from the COA Grand Finals. Never became a skin.
To the modeling team—if you ever do release this, please at least make it 80–90% faithful to the original!
② Coordinator
I kind of understand why this whole series never got released—just look at the Coordinator’s design. It would totally outshine Antiquarian’s Wind-Caller skin in a flash. The detailing is just too exquisite.
③ Mercenary
Honestly, this is the coolest Mercenary look I’ve ever seen. The outfit screams heroism—streamlined and sharp. Even the hood is redesigned into a more open, detective-style cap. I’m pretty sure tons of people would love this if it came out!
④ Antiquarian
Her design is based on a peacock motif. The handheld accessory is really beautiful, and the costume itself feels nimble and clever. I think this one looks better than all of Antiquarian’s current skins. No wonder they didn’t release it...
⑤ Hermit
The color scheme kind of resembles his newest limited skin, but this one has little cats all around him. Do you like it?
That wraps up all the PV-only character designs! Personally, I think each and every one of them is crafted with such care and artistry—I really wish we could have them in-game~
Which ones do you like the most?
